SRC Election 2012

SRC Election 2012 will be held on Friday the 3rd of February.

Developments at the school

Over the long vacation the maintenance team has been working hard to improve the general school environment. The additional green, play areas are now fully functional and this will greatly increase the opportunity for students to be engaged in activities at morning break and lunch time. Several of the corridors within the school have been repainted and new flooring has been placed in several areas in the main building. We are also in the process of upgrading the Food Technology area. All of this is part of our long term commitment to improve the school environment.

Student Identity Cards

I am pleased to say that we are finally introducing a student identity card into the school. The PTA has been pressing for this for some time. We hope that students will be able to use it, both within the school and also outside the school, as a means of identity. We have been experimenting with the format of the card, but we hope that it does include the most important information on it. We would like to see how successful the card is and will then probably make further amendments to it in due course. My thanks go out to Mrs. Forget-Erasmus on the PTA who has ensured that this matter was not forgotten, and also to the IT technicians for ensuring that it has become a reality.
