Sports Day

The PE department convey to you our heartiest thanks for your priceless input in the making of another successful sports day inspite of the nasty weather. I thought you, as much as our students, demonstrated this spirit that is so characteristic of Le Bocage: however tough the going gets, we reach our objectives!

And what about Eric and the Yellow teachers' breath-taking performance in the teachers' relay? Hats off guys & girls!
But anyhow, at the end of the, it is the RED HOUSE that wins it all. (Lol)Ha! Ha!

MUN

Harvard Model Congress Europe celebrated this year, its 25th years of existence and as usual, Le Bocage was proud to be on the guest list.   The conference was hosted in Brussels, Belgium which is none other than the European capital.  445 students took part in this prestigious event representing 29 International Schools from The Netherlands, France, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Turkey, India, Indonesia, Canada to name a few.

22 of our students accompanied by 2 teachers embarked on this instructive adventure and integrated different  committees which involved both International and Domestic programs like the World Trade Organization, World Health Organization, the Security Council, Senate and House.  It created an informed, intimate and lively forum  for debate on various  interesting topics which broadened the delegates’ awareness of the world.  This helped them to gain an understanding of the workings and principles of democracy and civic participation while inspiring them to discover their own leadership potential.

It is noteworthy that our students made the most of the activity time at school and hence were well prepared  to take up the challenge .  They brilliantly represented not only Le Bocage but also Mauritius through their excellent performance and conduct.   Julian Wong Ten Yuen who impersonated the Democrat Congressman James Mc Govern in House I was awarded the prize of best delegate and all the other participants received a certificate of participation which will be a first rate reference on their curriculum vitae.
In the midst of a hectic schedule, we also managed to visit some of the landmarks of Belgium like Le Musée des Sciences Naturelles, L’Atomium and Waterloo amongst others. It was in all a thrilling experience which I am sure the students will not forget in a long time to come.
